Is it fair to call the link between a five-year-old Oregon boy nicknamed Little Buddy and an Australian Labradoodle, who wears a similar dress, called the love story?
“It’s a love story,” said Sandi Swiridoff, dog owner. “Reagan showed Buddy so much love, and Buddy showed Reagan that love back.”
Swiridoff’s daughter, Kari Lewis, is Little Buddy’s adoptive mother: “It’s a love story and the power of what love can do,” she said.
The boyfriend initially entered Lewis’s family as a foster family. Reagan, she said, helped relieve the boy: “To put it in our home by a host family is a scary situation for a child, to have a dog to cling to and to feel an unconditional love for it’s really a gift. “
And sitting side by side with Reagan for a sort of joint interview, Little Buddy agreed, “I love Reagan, we have a lot of fun together.”
And they are not the only ones to share this pleasure. both have around 450,000 followers on Instagram … and their story is also told in a book called “Reagandoodle and Little Buddy”, whose recipes are dedicated to helping children in foster care.
Lewis said, “I think I have such memories, and Little Buddy is going to see how much he was loved and how much fun he had as a child is a gift that continues to give.”
